Visiting with your Dog

We would like to welcome you and your dog to Castle Howard.  The only requests we would make are that they be kept on a lead at all times and that any dog waste could be cleared and placed in the bins in the grounds.

Dogs are not permitted in the Adventure Playground.

Whilst we cannot let all dogs into the house, guide dogs and assistance dogs are permitted.

Water bowls are provided outside the main house entrance and in the Stable Courtyard area.  Please ask our staff for fresh water if they need topping up.
