Walk-up ticket prices at Christmas

We highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance.

This will save you money at the Ticket Office, and any disappointment if we are sold out on the day of your arrival.

All visitors: 10am - 4pm (last entry 3pm)

Buying Tickets
Tickets are available from the Ticket Office only during January 2025. Please purchase your tickets in person on your arrival.

Accepted Affiliate and Discount Schemes

  • Max Card holders are entitled to free entry for one adult and up to three children.
  • Yorkshire's Great Houses, Castles & Gardens pass holders are entitled to free entry for two adults and up to three children.
  • Art Fund’s National Art Pass holders are entitled to a 50% discount on inclusive House and Grounds admission. Tickets must be purchased at the Ticket Office on the day of visit, and cannot be booked online in advance.
  • Visit York VIP and York Pass holders can redeem admission on arrival.
  • Guests at our Holiday Cottages are entitled to a free visit during their stay.
  • Guests at our Lakeside Holiday Park get 2 for 1 admission to the Grounds and Skelf Island Adventure Playground.
  • Please note, we do not accept Historic Houses memberships.

Admission for all of our affiliate schemes can be redeemed on the day at the Ticket Office by presenting a valid membership card or proof of entitlement.
