September 2021

We did a lot! But something not mentioned by previous visitors: Kirkham Abbey set by the Derwent in beautiful surroundings and very quiet. Dalby Forest – find the Bridestones for weirdness. Beverley has lots to offer. See St. Mary’s rather than the Minster if you can’t do both and walk the canal to the river Hull. Visit as many local villages as you can – seems most are chocolate box pretty!

June 2021

Our first trip away together and just what we hoped for. We explored the area and had great meals in Pickering (White Swan Inn), Malton (The Talbot). Our day at Castle Howard was very interesting (though a shame some areas closed). Coneysthorpe is idyllic and we did a great walk that is in the welcome folder from here. Lots of chilled times in the garden too. Thank you! Estate office very helpful.

Wonderful Holiday. This cottage ticked all the boxes – quiet, clean, warm and comfortable. Good walking from the door in every direction and interesting places to visit. We recommend the Durham Ox for fantastic food and very special specials. The journey to Crake was worth it. The flowers we received for our Golden wedding anniversary were absolutely gorgeous. Thank you.
