Castle Howard will remain open tomorrow, Saturday 21st December. The safety of our visitors, staff and volunteers is our top priority. As such, we are closing parts of the site, including:
Alice’s Christmas Wonderland in the House, Father Christmas in the Castle, Santa’s Grotto and Afternoon Teas are currently planned to go ahead as scheduled.Santa’s Grotto will go ahead as planned, but has relocated to Santa’s Workshop, a working space where Santa makes toys and wraps gifts at Castle Howard. The Workshop is in the Estate Office area, just beyond the Christmas tree on the North Front. Over the weekend, our team will point you in the right direction, and a member of staff will greet you at the Meeting Point. The Ticket Office will direct you on your arrival. We kindly ask you to pay attention to any further instructions from our staff during your visit. We will be closely monitoring conditions on site and reserve the right to close if the weather conditions dictate. Please arrive at the designated timeslot on your ticket, as we are fully booked and won’t be admitting guests outside of their pre-booked timeslots. We are looking forward to welcoming you.
