Our children’s backpacks are full of fun activities to help your family discover nature at Castle Howard. Become a mini explorer and head off on an adventure with bug hunting kits, mini binoculars, tree rubbing, explorer stickers and more. Inside each pack you’ll find:

The Castle Howard children’s book, full of puzzles and trails
Activity sheets including I Spy, tree rubbing, bird spotting and bug hunting
Garden bird ID guide and binoculars for bird watching
Garden bugs and beasties ID guide, bug scoopers, bug pots and tweezers to help you on your bug hunt
Crayons
Castle Howard Explorer stickers

To hire your Explorer’s Pack simply ask at the Ticket Office on your next visit. 

 Suitable for children aged 6+

*Explorer packs are currently unavailable due to Covid-19 health and safety measures. We look forward to offering them to visitors again soon.
